Cassidy Tyros Named to All-MASCAC Volleyball Team

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior libero Cassidy Tyros has been named as a second team selection on the 2017 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball All-Conference Team.

Tyros is making her second straight appearance on the All-MASCAC Team as she was also a second team honoree a year ago.

In 30 matches this season, Tyros recorded a team-best 413 digs and 35 aces to go along with 31 assists. The Chelmsford, Massachusetts product currently ranks fifth in the MASCAC in total digs and is sixth in digs per set (4.13).

In 89 matches over her first three seasons with the Bears, Tyros has amassed 1,310 digs, 73 aces and 62 assists. She is fourth all-time in program history with her 1,310 career digs.

The BSU volleyball team wrapped up the 2017 campaign with an overall record of 8-22. Seeded fifth in the MASCAC Tournament with a 3-4 conference mark, the Bears knocked off #4 MCLA, 3-1, in the tournament quarterfinal round before dropping a 3-0 decision to top-seeded and eventual champion Worcester State University in the semifinals.
