BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Jenise Madden (Milford, Mass.) garnered All-New England honors during the opening day of the 2019 Division III New England Women's Indoor Track & field Championships held at Bowdoin College.
Madden placed seventh in the 5,000-meter run with a career-best time of 17:54.51.
Madden will compete in the 4x800-meter relay on Saturday along with senior Emily Guyon (Hopedale, Mass.), junior Jessica Haywood (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and freshman Amanda Ward (Manahawkin, N.J.). Also competing on Saturday at DIII New Englands are senior Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) in the 60-meter hurdles, senior Patricia Healion (Medford, Mass.) in the high jump, senior Madeline McNamara (Hull, Mass.) in the long jump and senior Molly McNamara (Hull, Mass.) in the triple jump, as well as junior Molly Dewar (Grafton, Mass.) and sophomores Jamelah Foster (Fall River, Mass.) and Juliana Martin (North Attleboro, Mass.) in the weight throw.
