BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University junior Jayci Andrews has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

A native of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Andrews captured the New England title and broke her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles at the Division III New England Championships hosted by Springfield College this past weekend. Andrews posted a finals time of 8.86 seconds as she eclipsed her previous BSU indoor standard of 8.92 seconds set nine days ago at the MASCAC Championships.

Andrews also garnered All-New England honors in the 400-meter dash as she recorded a season-best time of 58.65 seconds to place fourth in the event.

Andrews currently ranks fifth in all of Division III in the hurdles and 24th in the 400.

The MASCAC Athlete of the Week honor marks the 15th of Andrews' career including 11 indoor distinctions.

Next weekend, several members of the BSU indoor track & field teams will be competing at the BU Last Chance Meet.
