Women's Indoor Track & Field Competes at BU Last Chance Meet

BOSTON, Mass. -- Five members of the Bridgewater State University women's indoor track & field team competed at the BU Last Chance Meet on Sunday at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.

Junior Kira Gilbreath (West Haven, Utah) placed third in the shot put with a toss of 42 feet, 8.25 inches (13.01m), while senior Julianna DeVito (North Windham, Conn.) finished tenth in the event with a distance of 34 feet, 4.25 inches (10.47m).

Junior Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) finished 20th in the 400-meter dash with a season-best time of 57.87 seconds, while sophomore Tess Miller (Uxbridge, Mass.) was 30th in the 400 with a career-best indoor mark of 58.87 seconds.

Senior Kristyn Grattan (Hanover, Mass.) was the 29th runner to cross the line in the mile as she posted a career-best time of 5:13.23.

Next weekend, several members of the BSU women's indoor track & field team will compete at the Tufts Final Qualifying Meet.
