Traci Perry Named MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior Traci Perry has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

A native of Middleboro, Massachusetts, Perry garnered All-New England honors in the 200-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay at the Division III New England Championships hosted by Williams College this past weekend.

Perry placed sixth in the 200 with a school-record time of 25.34 seconds as she eclipsed the previous BSU outdoor mark of 25.35 seconds set by Kristin Neville back in 2003.

The Bears' 4x400-meter relay, featuring Perry, classmate Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.), freshman Tess Miller (Uxbridge, Mass.) and sophomore Molly McNamara (Hull, Mass.), posted a time of 3:57.78 to finish in seventh place.

Qualifying members of the BSU women's outdoor track & field team will compete at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Association Championships hosted by Williams on Friday and Saturday of this week. Perry will be competing in the 200 at the meet.
