BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University freshman Tess Miller has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.
Miller placed second in the 400-meter dash with a career-best time of 59.58 seconds at the Jerry Gravel Classic hosted by Westfield State University this past weekend. The Uxbridge, Massachusetts native also ran a leg on the Bears’ 4x400-meter relay which recorded a first-place time of 4:08.01.
The MASCAC Rookie of the Week accolade marks Miller's tenth of the 2016-2017 academic year. She also garnered the honor an impressive eight times during the indoor track & field season.
On Friday, the BSU women's track & field team will compete at the 10th Annual Eastern Invitational hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University.
