BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior Hannah Maymon has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Maymon placed second in the javelin at the AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational this past weekend with a career-best distance of 130 feet, eighth inches (39.83m). The Narragansett, Rhode Island product qualified for both the Division III New England Championships and the NEICAAA Championships in the event.
Maymon currently ranks 12th in all of Division III in the javelin.
The BSU women's outdoor track & field team is back in action on Saturday as the Bears will compete at the Jerry Gravel Classic hosted by Westfield State University.
