BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Molly Dewar has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.
Dewar placed second in the discus throw at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Classic with a season-best mark of 119 feet, two inches (36.32m). The Grafton, Massachusetts product also finished ninth in the shot put (33’3.25”/10.14m) and 13th in the hammer throw (91’4”/27.85m).
Dewar has qualified for the Division III New England Championships in the discus.
The outdoor season continues for the BSU women's track & field team on Saturday when the Bears compete at the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by AIC.
