Women's Track Competes at NEICAAA Championships

ROXBURY, Mass. -- Qualifying members of the Bridgewater State University women's track & field team competed during day one of the 49th Annual New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Indoor Track & Field Championships held on Friday at the Reggie Lewis Center.

The two-day meet features competition from Divisions I, II and III in New England.

Senior Kristyn Grattan (Hanover, Mass.) placed 12th in the preliminaries of the 1,000-meter run with a career-best time of 3:03.94.

Freshman Tess Miller (Uxbridge, Mass.) and senior Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.) finished 22nd and 27th, respectively, in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash. Miller posted a time of 59.83 seconds, while Lane recorded a time of 1:00.57.

Senior Traci Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) placed 27th in the preliminaries of the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.58 seconds.

Day two of the NEICAAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will get underway on Saturday morning at ten.
