Women's Track & Field Competes at Tufts Cupid Challenge

MEDFORD, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's indoor track & field team competed at the non-scoring Tufts Cupid Challenge on Saturday.

Freshman Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) placed second in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 26.64 seconds. Andrews also finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a finals time of 9.28 seconds, while senior Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) recorded time of 9.33 seconds in the finals to place fourth in the hurdles. 

Senior Danielle Poto (North Andover, Mass.) posted a personal-best time of 17:41.68 in the 5,000-meter run to finish fourth in the event.  Poto is currently ranked 13th in all of Division III in the 5,000.

Junior Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.) and freshman Kassidy Campbell (Norton, Mass.) placed third and fifth, respectively, in the 400-meter dash. Lane recorded a time of 1:01.92, while Campbell checked in with a season-best time of 1:03.62.

Freshman Anyelina Martinez (Lawrence, Mass.) rounded out the Bears' top placewinners as she finished fifth in the 800-meter run (2:21.76).

Next Saturday, the Bears will compete at the MASCAC/Alliance Championships hosted by Plymouth State University.
