BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the eighth straight week and ninth time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Jayci Andrews has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

A native of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Andrews finished tenth in the 400-meter dash at the 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships held last week at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. She posted a time of 55.85 seconds to place in the top ten after entering the meet as the #15 seed.

Andrews earned MASCAC Rookie of the Week accolades an impressive 17 times between the indoor (eight) and outdoor (nine) seasons.
