ROXBURY, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's track and field team competed at the season-opening UMass Boston Invitational on Saturday held at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Sophomore Samantha Richner (Hanson, Mass.) placed fourth in the high jump with a leap of five feet, three inches as she qualified for the ECAC Division III Championships.

Sophomore Abbie Pustis (Andover, Mass.) finished tenth in the 500-meter run with an ECAC Championships qualifying time of 1:21.86.

Sophomore Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.) placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a Division III New Englands qualifying time of 1:01.19.

Freshman Tori O'Dea (South Dennis, Mass.) finished tenth in the 60-meter hurdles and qualified for  DIII New Englands with a time of 9.90 seconds.

Sophomore Traci Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) posted a time of 8.26 seconds to finish 11th in the 60-meter dash.  Perry also placed 19th in the 200-meter dash (27.30).

The Bears are off until January 11th when they compete at the 46th Annual Dartmouth Relays.
