Krevosky Garners All-ECAC Accolades in 100-Meter Hurdles

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Junior Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) earned All-ECAC honors to lead the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team during the second and final day of the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championships on Friday at Springfield College.

Krevosky placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a finals time of 15.05 seconds. On Thursday, Krevosky finished fifth in the preliminaries with a school record time of 14.75 seconds.

The Bears' relay team of junior Theresa Connolly (North Andover, Mass.), sophomores Kristyn Grattan (Hanover, Mass.) and Sabrina Rizzo (Peabody, Mass.), and freshman Shauntel Farland (Burlington, Mass.) placed 11th and broke the BSU outdoor mark in the 4x800 with a time of 9:35.55. The foursome eclipsed the previous record of 9:35.98 set by Megan Cullinane, Melissa Harris, Molly Rouillard and Sarah Lagasse in 2012.

Rizzo, classmated Traci Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) and Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.) and senior Ashley Aldred (Saugus, Mass.) placed 18th in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:04.07.

Sophomore Sydney Bennett (North Attleboro, Mass.) finished 19th in the shot put with a toss of 39 feet, 3.25 inches (11.97 meters).

The Bears tied for 46th place in the team standings with five points. MIT captured the team title with 64 points followed by Ithaca (59.5 pts.) and St. Lawrence (45.5 pts.).
