CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Senior Nicole Mauro (Mashpee, MA) placed fourth in the 3,000-meter run to lead the Bridgewater State College women's indoor track team at the Harvard Open on Saturday.
Mauro posted a time of 10:46.60 in her first meet of the indoor track season after an outstanding cross country campaign which saw her advance to the NCAA Division III Championships.
Also highlighting the meet for the Bears were freshmen Rebeccah Chase (Northfield, NH) and Brittany Page (Winthrop, MA). Chase posted a time of 21:32.23 in the 5,000-meter run which was good enough for 12th place. Paige recorded a throw of 30 feet, 7.72 inches in the weight throw which placed her 14th overall.
