2008 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament Bracket
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State College women's tennis team will take on Vassar College in the opening round of the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship Tournament which gets underway on Friday, May 2nd at 2 P.M.
Amherst College is the host site for the regional that Bridgewater will be competing in as the Lord Jeffs will host the first three rounds.
The Bears (7-2) will be making the program's first appearance at the national tournament as they earned the automatic qualifier by capturing the Little East Conference Tournament championship back in the fall. Vassar (13-4) is making its seventh straight appearance and eighth overall.
In the other first round matchup at Amherst, Skidmore College (11-5) will take on Suffolk University (14-0). The winner of the Skidmore/Suffolk match will take on Bodwoin College (12-7) on Saturday, May 3rd, while the BSC/Vassar winner will match up with host Amherst (15-1).
