Women’s Swimming & Diving Edged by Clark, 151-133

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team was edged by Clark University, 151-133, on Saturday afternoon at the Kneller Center Pool.

The Bears (2-3) picked up five individual wins by five different student-athletes and added one relay victory.

BSU's relay squad featuring senior Mackenzie Coogan (Assonet, Mass.), sophomore Makayla Paquin (North Easton, Mass.), senior Megan Bonney (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) and junior Allison Hunt (Norton, Mass.) captured top honors in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:46.65.

Coogan also placed first in the 50 freestyle (25.49), while Hunt was the first to touch the wall in the 100 individual medley (1:06.69).

Sophomore Selin Marino (East Greenwich, R.I.) outdistanced the field in the 1,000 freestyle (11:59.01), and freshman Hannah Geoffrion (Barnstable, Mass.) won the 100 butterfly (1:06.17).

Senior Alexa Wilson (Centerville, Mass.) posted the top score in the one-meter diving competition with 204.20 points.

The Bears are back in action next Saturday afternoon when they host Gordon College at two.
