Haley Nolan Named NEISDA Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Haley Nolan has been selected as the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Women's Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com.

A native of Lowell, Massachusetts, Nolan won four individual events and two relays in a pair of meets for the Bears last week.

Nolan captured top honors in the both the 1,000 freestyle (11:23.57) and the 100 backstroke (1:03.85) in a 125.5-92.5 dual meet victory over UMass Dartmouth. She also ran a leg on the winning 400 freestyle relay squad along with teammates Abbie Grant (Mansfield, Mass.), Allison Hunt (Norton, Mass.), and Danielle Souza (Mansfield, Mass.).

Nolan won a pair of individual events and one relay to pace the Bears at the Louise Goodrum Invitational hosted by UMD. She placed first in the 1,650 freestyle (19:19.76) and the 100 freestyle (56.66) and ran a leg on the first place 200 freestyle relay (1:47.43) team along with Hunt, Souza and Mackenzie Coogan (Assonet, Mass.).

In upcoming action, the BSU swimming & diving teams travel to Wheaton College on Wednesday evening for a six o'clock meet with the Lyons.
