Women's Swimming & Diving Finishes Sixth at NEISDA Championships

KINGSTON, R.I. -- Bridgewater State University junior Haley Nolan (Lowell, Mass.) earned All-NEISDA honors and also set a school record on the final day of the 2018 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships on Sunday at the URI Tootell Aquatic Center.

Nolan placed fourth in the 1,650 freestyle as she posted a time of 18:13.39. She also officially broke the school mark in the 1,000 within the race with a time of 10:55.71. Nolan eclipsed the previous BSU standard of 10:59.44 set by Meaghan Thomas in 2005.

The BSU women's swimming & diving team finished in sixth place out of 20 teams in the overall standings with 516.5 points. Simmons College captured the team title with 1,504 points, while Roger Williams University (1,465 pts.) and Keene State College (1,083.5 pts.) rounded out the top three.

All told, the Bears set seven school records during the four-day championship meet.
