Biltcliffe Breaks School Mark, Garners All-NEISDA Honors

KINGSTON, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior Sarah Biltcliffe (Fall River, Mass.) broke the school record in the 50 breaststroke and garnered All-NEISDA honors during day two of the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division III Championships held on Friday at the University of Rhode Island.

 In Friday morning's preliminaries, Biltcliffe recorded a time of 32.30 seconds in the 50 breaststroke as she eclipsed Jillian Coache's previous BSU mark of 32.75 seconds set in 2008.

Biltcliffe then posted a finals time of 32.23 seconds on Friday night to place fifth overall at the meet and improve on her preliminary time by 7/100 of a second.

The BSU women's squad is in 13th place with 161 team points after day two. Roger Williams University leads the way with 606 points with Simmons College (526 pts.) in second place and Keene State College (488 pts.) in third.

The four-day championship event continues on Saturday morning with the preliminary round getting underway at ten.
