Women's Swimming & Diving Drops 162-118 Decision to Clark

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team dropped a 162-118 decision to visiting Clark University on Saturday afternoon at the Moriarty Pool.

Senior Sarah Rechtiene (Southbury, Conn.) and freshmen Abbie Grant (Mansfield, Mass.) and Mikaila Williams (HydePark, Mass.) each won individual swimming events for the host Bears. Rechtiene captured top honors in the 200 breaststroke (2:38.77) while Grant placed first in the 100 freestyle (59.75) and Williams was first to touch the wall in the 50 freestyle (27.23).

Sophomore Mary Woodbury (Holden, Mass.) posted a score of 193.75 points to win the three-meter diving competition, while senior Elizabeth Lamarre (Dartmouth, Mass.) placed second on both the one-meter (185.75) and three-meter (190.65) boards.

The Bears (2-2) return to the pool next Saturday afternoon when they travel to Gordon College for a one o'clock meet with the Fighting Scots.
