BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Bridgewater State College women's swimming & diving team placed first in 12 out of 16 events as the Bears downed the Hawks of Roger Williams University, 164-133, this afternoon in Bristol.

BSC remains undefeated on the season as the Bears are a perfect 4-0 out of the gate.

Junior Jillian Coache (New Bedford, MA) highlighted the win for the Bears as she placed first in three individual events and swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:48.94).  Coache's three individual wins came in the 1,000 freestyle (11:33.75), the 50 freestyle (:26.47) and the 50 butterfly (:29.09) events.

Also joining Coach on the winning relay team were junior Erica Robinson (Lynn, MA), sophomore Bryn Morwick (Indianapolis, IN) and freshman Lindsey Hatton (Westfield, MA).

Robinson, Morwick and junior Sarah Fuller (Palmer, MA) also picked up two individual event wins apiece.  Robinson placed first in the 50 backstroke (:31.29) and the 200 backstroke (2:25.54), Morwick in the 200 butterfly (2:24.99) and the 400 individual medley (5:04.32), and Fuller in the 200 freestyle (2:07.79) and the 100 freestyle (:59.44).

The Bears also swept the diving portion of the meet.  Senior Jennifer Jackson (Randolph, MA) placed first on the one-meter board with a score of 224.26, while sophomore Mia Miller (Seekonk, MA) took home the honors on the three-meter board with a score of 220.17.
