Alana Vincent Named MASCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University senior forward Alana Vincent has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.

Vincent tallied three goals and two assists for eight points in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears. The Taunton, Massachusetts product potted the game-winning goal in double overtime in a 1-0 victory over Gordon College, and notched two goals and added two assists in an 8-2 MASCAC win on the road over Framingham State University.

Through 15 games this season, Vincent has 13 goals and seven assists for 33 points. She currently leads the MASCAC in goals, points, and game-winning goals (6), and is tied for the conference lead in assists.

In 57 games over four seasons with the Bears, Vincent has amassed 30 goals and 13 assists for 473 points. Eleven of her 30 markers have been game-winners.

Vincent is tied for fifth among the Bears all-time leaders in goals and ranks sixth in scoring.

Vincent has earned MASCAC Player of the Week honors four times in her career including earlier this season on September 16th. She was also an All-MASCAC First Team selection as a freshman in 2016 and garnered All-MASCAC Second Team accolades in 2018.

The BSU women’s soccer team is currently 9-6 on the season and 4-1 in the MASCAC. Winners of four straight games, the Bears entertain conference foe Fitchburg State University on Saturday at noon.  Saturday also marks Senior Day for the squad as six seniors will be honored in pregame festivities.
