NEWISA Senior Bowl Division III Roster

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - Bridgewater State College senior forward Kaitlin Lamothe has been selected to play in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl on Sunday, December 7th at Salem State College.  Game time is scheduled for 11 AM.

A native of Wrentham, Massachusetts, Lamothe had a sensational senior year for the Bears setting the single-season school records for goals with 22 and for points with 52. She broke Cathy Conley's 1992 marks of 19 goals and 48 points.  Conley's 48 point total was also equaled by Kim Rhodes in 2002.

Lamothe finished the season ranked second in the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) in both points and goals, while also finishing fourth in assists (8). She currently ranks eighth in all of Division III in scoring and ninth in goals.

Lamothe was selected to the MASCAC All-Conference First Team for the second straight season and was also chosen the conference player of the year.  She was named as the MASCAC Player of the Week twice this season as well as the as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Offensive Player of the Week on two occasions as well.

Earlier this month, Lamothe was also named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District One College Division Women's Soccer Third Team.

Despite playing just two seasons at Bridgewater State, Lamothe wrapped up her career as the fourth all-time leading scorer in BSC women's soccer history with 76 points.

As a team, the Bears posted a record of 11-4-3 this season and finished in a tie for first place in the MASCAC standings along with Westfield State.  Seeded second in the conference tournament, BSC knocked off defending champion Worcester State, 1-0, in the semifinals before bowing to Westfield in the tournament title game.
