Wrestling Drops Three Matches at BSU Quad Meet

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University wrestling team hosted a quad meet against WPI, Coast Guard, and NYU on Saturday afternoon at the Adrian Tinsley Center.

The Bears (3-14) dropped a 47-0 decision to WPI, had a 45-6 setback against NYU, and ended the day with a 37-16 loss to Coast Guard.

In the 45-6 setback to NYU, senior captain Anthony Cote (Danbury, Conn.) posted a 9-2 decision at 165, while sophomore Tom Arseneault (Lynnfield, MA) followed with a 3-2 decision at 285.

In the 37-16 loss to Coast Guard, freshman Jason Sulinski (Dedham, Mass.) won by forfeit, while junior Bobby Gasdia (Rockland, Mass.) recorded a 15-4 major decision at 184. Senior Stephen Heaslip (Dedham, Mass.) capped off the Bears' scoring with a pin (3:54) at 197.

The Bears return to action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Trinity College for a twelve o'clock tri-match with the Bantams and the Rhode Island College Anchormen.
