NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Bridgewater State University wrestling team dropped a pair of matches at a tri-match hosted by the U. S. Coast Guard Academy on Saturday.
The Bears (2-12) fell to host Coast Guard by a margin of 43-9 before dropping a 53-0 decision to the Engineers of WPI.
Sophomore Tom Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) went 1-1 on the day to pace the Bears. Arseneault posted a 2-1 win over Kevin Painten of Coast Guard.
Freshman Andrew Valdina (Dracut, Mass.) added a win by forfeit at 133 against Coast Guard.
The Bears are back in action next Saturday when they host a tri-match with Trinity College and Rhode Island College.
