Wrestling Posts 0-3 Mark at NEWA-Metro Duals

EWING, N.J. -- The Bridgewater State University wrestling team went 0-3 at the NEWA-Metro Duals hosted by The College of New Jersey on Saturday.

The Bears (2-10) dropped a 48-3 decision to host TCNJ before losing to Centenary College, 22-21, and Hunter College, 36-6.

Senior 125-pounder Andrew Gauthier (Lowell, Mass.) and sophomore heavyweight Daniel Quinn (Quincy, Mass.) both finished 2-1 on the day to pace Bridgewater State.  Gauthier moved up a weight class to earn a 6-4 win at the 133-pound weight class against Centenary, and then recorded a 10-7 victory at 125 against Hunter.  Quinn captured a 7-5 decision over his opponent from TCNJ and also notched a 6-4 triumph versus Centenary.

The Bears travel to WPI next Saturday for a noontime match with the Engineers.
