BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College freshman Andrew Frazer has been named the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Rookie Wrestler of the Week for his performance on the mats for the Bears last week.
A native of West Hartford, Connecticut, the 197-pound Frazer posted a big pin over the defending New England finalist from MIT, Joe Silverman, as the Bears split a tri-match with MIT and Roger Williams University last Wednesday.
Frazer is currently 12-7 in his rookie season at BSC with 7 pins. He is curently fourth on the team in pins and tied for seventh with his 12 wins.
