Elizabeth Ettridge Named MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior midfielder Elizabeth Ettridge has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) GEICO Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week. GEICO is the proud sponsor of the MASCAC weekly awards program.

Ettridge scored nine goals and dished out an assist for ten points in a 1-1 week for the Bears. The Marshfield, Massachusetts product also notched two ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover.

Ettridge buried a career-high eight goals to go along with two ground balls and a caused turnover in a 20-15 MASCAC win over Worcester State University. She also tallied a goal and an assist as well as a pair of draw controls in an 8-6 non-conference setback to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Through 11 games this season, Ettridge has produced 34 goals and five assists for 39 points to go along with 22 ground balls, 21 draw controls and 12 caused turnovers. She currently ranks fourth in the MASCAC in goals and is tied for eighth in the conference in scoring.

In 67 games over four seasons with the Bears, Ettridge has amassed 183 goals and 41 assists for 224 points as well as 88 ground balls, 122 draw controls and 49 caused turnovers. She is ninth all-time at Bridgewater State in goals, tenth in scoring and 11th in draw controls.

The BSU women's lacrosse team is currently 7-4 on the season and 2-1 in the MASCAC. The Bears travel to Roger Williams University on Tuesday night for a seven o'clock game with the Hawks.
