BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior attack Mackenzie Manning has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.
Manning notched three goals and an assist for four points to go along with a caused turnover in two games for the Bears last week. The Hingham, Massachusetts product scored her first career goal in her first collegiate game as the Bears dropped a season-opening 18-5 decision to Babson College. Manning also tallied two goals, an assist and a caused turnover in a 9-7 win over Mount Holyoke College.
The BSU women's lacrosse team is currently 1-1 on the young season. The Bears are back in action on Tuesday morning at ten when they take on Methodist University at SpringFling 2018 in Englewood, Florida.
