Emily Hiller Named MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman midfielder Emily Hiller has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

Hiller tallied five goals and three assists for eight points in a 1-1 week for the Bears. The Marion, Massachusetts product notched a goal and three assists to go along with a ground ball in a 20-8 MASCAC win over Worcester State University. She also netted four goals and added a ground ball and a pair of caused turnovers in an 11-9 setback to Plymouth State University.

Through 13 games this season, Hiller has produced 16 goals and nine assists for 25 points as well as 21 ground balls, six  draw controls and 20 caused turnovers. She is currently tied for seventh in the MASCAC in caused turnovers and tied for 13th in assists.

The BSU women's lacrosse team is presently 8-5 on the season and 2-1 in the MASCAC. The Bears entertain conference foe Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Tuesday night at seven.
