Melissa Renauld Named MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior attack Melissa Renauld has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.

Renauld tallied seven goals and two assists for nine points to go along with six ground balls, eight draw controls and three caused turnovers in a 1-1 week for the Bears at SpringFling 2017 in Port Charlotte, Florida.

The Framingham, Massachusetts product notched four goals, an assist, five draws and a caused turnover in a 23-5 win over Alfred University. She also recorded three goals, an assist, six ground balls, three draws and a pair of caused turnovers in a 10-7 setback to Kenyon College. 

Through four games this season, Renauld has 12 goals and six assists for 18 points as well as seven ground balls, 14 draws and three caused turnovers.

In 64 games over four seasons with the Bears, Renauld has amassed 182 goals and 79 assists for 261 career points. She also has 103 ground balls, 121 draw controls and 41 caused turnovers to her credit.

Renauld currently ranks eighth all-time at Bridgewater State in goals, assists, points and draws.

The BSU women's lacrosse team is presently 2-2 on the season. The Bears are scheduled to host Wheaton College on Saturday at noon.
