Coach Casey is entering her 13th season at Bridgewater State. Since arriving at Bridgewater in 1997 she has compiled an overall record of 168-140 (.545) as she is the program's all-time winningest coach.  In 2007-2008, Bridgett guided the Bears to a 22-5 (815) record and the program's first appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament since the 1985-86 season.  The 22 victories marked the Bears' highest win total since the 1986-87 season (22-3), and BSC's MASCAC Tournament title was the program's first ever.

Over the last five years, the Bears have compiled a record of 86-45 including a 43-17 regular season mark against MASCAC teams.  Along with earning an NCAA Tournament berth in 2008, the women's basketball team also made an ECAC Tournament appearance in 2006.

Coach Casey strategies for success include developing the well rounded student-athlete.  Each year, Coach Casey seeks new recruits throughout the New England area to join a team of dedicated individuals.  Pre and post season workouts, study hall and fund raising activities make the basketball program a year round program.

Prior to BSC, Bridgett gained valuable coaching experience working as an assistant under two top women's coaches in the Northeast.  Bridgett was an assistant coach at Brown University (1996-97) with head coach Jean Marie Burr, and as an assistant coach at her alma mater Bryant College (1993-96) under head coach Mary Burke.

Coach Casey skills as a coach began developing as a player.  Bridgett was a four-year starter of the Bryant women's Basketball team.  As a point-guard, she scored over 1,000 points in her career, served as team captain and was selected to the Northeast-10 All-Conference team.  At Bryant, Bridgett double majored in both Accounting and History.

In addition to coaching the women's basketball team here at Bridgewater State, Coach Casey also heads up the varsity softball program at Oliver Ames High School in North Easton, and runs basketball clinics and youth tournaments throughout the year.   She and her family currently reside in Mansfield.
