Colleen Feeney Named MASCAC Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the fifth time this season and eighth time in the last two years, Bridgewater State College senior forward Colleen Feeney has been named the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

A native of Providence, RI, Feeney averaged 21.0 points and 12.7 rebounds, and reached the 1,000-point milestone in a perfect 3-0 week for the Bears which included MASCAC wins versus Westfield State and Framingham State.

Feeney scored 27 points and pulled down 14 boards in the Bears' 80-57 win on the road at Westfield State. She then connected for 23 points, including the 1,000th of her career, to go along with 14 rebounds and 5 blocked shots in a 68-44 victory at home versus UMass Boston. Feeney posted her third double-double of the week and 14th on the season as the Bears knocked off Framingham State, 73-46.

Through 15 games, Feeney currently leads the MASCAC six different categories.  She is tops in the conference in scoring (21.1 ppg), rebounding (13.3 rpg), defensive rebounds (9.6 rpg), field goal percentage (.605), free throw percentage (.766) and blocked shots (51). 

The Bears are currently 12-3 on the season and 3-0 in conference play.
