Men's Cross Country Places 8th at UMD Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Senior Trevor Wysong (Taunton, Mass.) placed seventh out of a field of 257 runners to lead the Bridgewater State University men's cross country team at the 47th Annual UMass Dartmouth Invitational in which all three NCAA divisions were represented on Saturday morning.

Wysong completed the five-mile course in a time of 25:29.77. Weyessa McAllister of Trinity College won the race with a time of 24:46.42.

The Bears finished eighth in the team standings. WPI captured the team title followed by UMass Lowell in second place and Trinity in third.

Senior Joshua Higgins (Fitchburg, Mass.) was the next Bear to cross the finish line as he placed 25th with a time of 26:11.83. Senior Mike Hutchinson (Leominster, Mass.) checked in with a time of 26:43.88 to finish 46th overall, while Junior Nikolas Beshere (Winthrop, Mass.) posted a time of 27:05.53 to place 58th.

Next Saturday, the Bears will compete at the Franklin Pierce Invitational
