BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University junior Trevor Wysong has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) GEICO Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. GEICO is the proud sponsor of the MASCAC weekly awards program.
Wysong placed fifth out of a field of 134 runners at the Western New England Invitational this past weekend. The Taunton, Massachusetts product covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 25:48.
Wysong also earned the honor back on September 3rd, September 17th, and October 8th for his performances at the season-opening Roger Williams Invitational, the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, and the NEICAAA Championships.
Following an off weekend, Wysong and his cross country teammates will compete at the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships hosted by MCLA on Saturday, October 27th.
