BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's and women's cross country teams began preparation for the 2018 season as roughly 30 student-athletes reported to campus Monday morning and hit the trails for the first time later in the afternoon.
First-year head coach Connor Foley's teams open the 2018 campaign on Friday, August 31st when the Bears travel to Colt State Park in Bristol, Rhode Island for the Roger Williams Invitational.
In the MASCAC Cross Country Preseason Polls that were recently released, the Bridgewater State men's squad was ranked second with three first-place votes and 31 points, while the women's team was ranked third with 27 points.
