Wysong Places 70th at NCAA Cross Country Championships

WINNECONNE, Wisc. -- Bridgewater State University junior Trevor Wysong finished 70th out of a field of 280 runners at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships held at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wisconsin on Saturday.

Wysong covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 25:23.3. His showing at the meet is the second fastest time of the ten Bears who have ran at the NCAA Championships. Former BSU standout harrier Stephen Wahome posted a time of 25:20.77 at the 2011 national championship meet 

Dhruvil Patel of North Central College (Ill.) captured the individual title with a time of 24:24.5. North Central also won the team championship, while Washington University placed second and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse rounded out the top three teams.
