BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore Trevor Wysong has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Wysong placed 48th out of a very competitive field of 282 runners at the Connecticut College Invitational held this past weekend at Harkness Memorial State Park. The Taunton, Massachusetts product completed the rain-soaked eight-kilometer course in a time of 26:39.9.
After a week off, Wysong and the BSU men’s cross country team will compete at the MASCAC Championships hosted by Westfield State University on Saturday, October 28th at Stanley Park.
Last season, Wysong earned both MASCAC Rookie of the Year and All-MASCAC honors. He was also named the MASCAC Rookie of the Week on four separate occasions.
