BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Gilley Kabamba has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week.
Kabamba placed 43rd out of a field of 266 runners at the 22nd Annual James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University this past weekend at Stanley Park. The Lynn, Massachusetts product covered the eight-kilometer layout in a time of 27:58.81.
Up next on the schedule, the BSU men’s cross country team will compete at the Connecticut College Invitational held on Saturday at Harkness Memorial State Park.
