Lucier Leads Men's Cross Country at UMD Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Senior Justin Lucier (Attleboro, Mass.) placed 36th to lead the Bridgewater State University men's cross country team at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.

Lucier covered the eight-kilometer layout in a time of 26:25.25. Junior Matthew Dynan of Babson College checked in with the winning time of 25:22.67.

BSU sophomore Trevor Wysong (Taunton, Mass.) was the next Bear to cross the finish line as he posted a time of 26:32.15 to finish 41st overall. Sophomore Mike Hutchinson (Leominster, Mass.) capped off BSU's top three runners with a time of 26:57.217. Hutchinson placed 63rd out of a field of 315 harriers.

The Bears finished 11th in the team standings. Division I UMass Lowell won the team title followed by Brandeis University in second place and Salisbury University in third. 

Next Saturday, the Bears will compete at the 49th Annual Codfish Bowl held at Franklin Park in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
