Lynch Leads Men's Cross Country to RWU Invitational Title

BRISTOL, R.I. -- Bridgewater State University Freshman Dylan Lynch (East Taunton, Mass.) captured top honors at the season opening Roger Williams Invitational held on Saturday at Colt State Park. Lynch helped lead the BSU men's cross country team to the meet title.

The Bears had five runners place in the top ten at the five-kilometer race with Lynch leading the way with a time of 16:48.

Senior Joseph Kisamore (Attleboro, Mass.) was next across the line with a time of 16:49 as he was just a second behind his teammate Lynch. Sophomore Trevor Wysong (Taunton, Mass.) placed fourth at 16:53, while junior Joseph Keough (Walpole, Mass.) and sophomore Mike Hutchinson (Leominster, Mass.) finished eighth (17:07) and ninth (17:09), respectively.

The Bears recorded a score of 24 points to win the team championship. Norwich University placed second with 31 points while host Roger Williams rounded out the top three with 95 points.

After a week off, the Bears will compete at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, September 16th.
