BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore Jacob DeAndrade has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

DeAndrade captured top honors in both the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational this past weekend. The Taunton, Massachusetts product posted a finals time of 7.05 seconds in the 60, and recorded a season-best time of 22.44 seconds in the 200 as he helped the Bears capture the team title at the meet.

DeAndrade currently ranks second in New England and sixth in all of Division III in the 200. He is also fifth in the region and 28th in DIII in the 60.

The BSU men's indoor track & field team will compete on Saturday (10:30 AM) at the Massasoit Classic hosted by Springfield College.
