BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore Jacob DeAndrade has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

DeAndrade placed first in the both the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash this past weekend at the Emmanuel Indoor Opener. The Taunton, Massachusetts product posted a finals and personal-best time of 7.02 seconds in the 60 as well as a time of 22.50 seconds in the 200. He qualified for the Division III New England Championships and the NEICAAA Championships in both events.

DeAndrade currently ranks second in New England and 15th in all of Division III in the 60. He is also third in the region and 23rd in DIII in the 200.

The BSU men's indoor track & Field team will compete on Saturday (5:00 PM) at the Joe Donahue Games hosted by Northeastern University at the Reggie Lewis Center.
