Winsper Earns Javelin Silver, Shot Put Bronze at IWAS Youth World Games

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Josh Winsper (Rochester, Mass.) earned silver in the javelin and bronze in the shot put at the 2018 International Wheelchair & Amputee Sports (IWAS) Youth World Games on July 3rd and 4th in Athlone, Ireland.

Competing for Team USA at the F41 classification, Winsper placed second in the javelin with a toss of 80 feet, one inch (24.42 meters). He also recorded a mark of 28 feet (8.53 meters) in the shot put to place third in the event.

Kolganat Bakbergen of Kazakhstan (140'4"/42.79m) captured top honors in the javelin for the F41 classification, while Matija Sloup (32'1.5"/9.79m) of Croatia won the shot put.
