BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore Trevor Wysong has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Wysong captured top honors in the 10,000-meter run at the season-opening Tufts Snowflake Classic held this past weekend at the Dussault Track & Field Complex. The Taunton, Massachusetts product posted a career-best time of 31:32.06 to win the race.
Wysong currently ranks first in New England in the 10,000 and 16th in all of Division III. He qualified for the Division III New England Championships in the event.
The outdoor season continues for the BSU men's track & field team this coming Saturday when the Bears compete at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Classic.
