Cameron Williamson Named MASCAC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second times this season, Bridgewater State University senior Cameron Williamson has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Williamson captured a pair of individual titles in the triple jump this past weekend at the MASCAC/New England Alliance Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Bridgewater State. The North Easton, Massachusetts product posted a career-best mark of 47 feet, 3.75 inches (14.42m) to place first in the event as he helped the BSU men's squad win both championship meets.

Williamson currently ranks second in New England in the triple jump and 18th in all of Division III.

The MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week honor marks the ninth of Williamson’s career.

Next weekend, Williamson and other qualifying members of the BSU men's outdoor track & field team will compete at the Division III New England Championships hosted by MIT.
