BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Joshua Moore has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.
Moore placed seventh in the javelin with a career-best toss of 191 feet, eight inches (58.42m) to earn All-NEICAAA honors at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships held this past weekend at Dartmouth College. The Cape May, New Jersey native also added a 15th place showing in the long jump with a leap of 20 feet, 9.25 inches (6.33m).
Moore currently ranks 31st in all of Division III in the javelin.
In upcoming action, several members of the BSU outdoor track & field teams will compete on Thursday at the MIT Last Chance Qualifier.
