Joshua Winsper to be Honored Prior to Tuesday Night's Women's Basketball Game vs. UMass Dartmouth

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University Department of Athletics will honor U.S. Paralympics gold medalist Joshua Winsper during a special ring ceremony prior to the women's basketball game against UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday night (Nov. 28) at seven. 

Winsper earned gold in the javelin and silver in the shot put at the 2017 U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championships held this past June at Drake Stadium on the campus of UCLA.

Winsper placed first in the javelin for the F41 classification with a personal-best toss of 88 feet, seven inches (27.01 meters). He also recorded a mark of 27 feet, ten inches (8.48 meters) in the shot put to place second in the event for the F41 classification.

BSU President Fred Clark will present Joshua with his national championship ring. The ceremony is expected to get underway at 6:45 PM.
