BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University sophomore Lamont Haynes has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Haynes placed first in the 400-meter dash at the Wheaton Invitational with a season-best time of 50.54 seconds. The Boston, Massachusetts product also placed third in the 200-meter dash with a season-best time of 22.95 seconds.
Haynes will be competing in the 400 and potentially the 200 and the 4x400-meter relay this weekend at the NEICAAA Championships held at the Reggie Lewis Center. He has qualified in the 200, 400 and 600 for the Division III New England Championships hosted by Middlebury College on Saturday, February 17th.
