Men's Track & Field Competes at NEICAAA Championships

HANOVER, N.H. – Several members of the Bridgewater State University men's outdoor track & field team competed during the second and final day of the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships on Saturday at Dartmouth College.

Sophomore Joshua Higgins (Fitchburg, Mass.) finished 13th in the 800-meter run with a career-best time of 1:52.88, while junior Joseph Keough (Walpole, Mass.) was the 16th runner to cross the line in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as he posted a career-best time of 9:27.15.

The Bears' 4x800-meter relay squad featuring seniors Joseph Kisamore (Attleboro, Mass.), Justin Lucier (Attleboro, Mass.), Michael Sanpietro (South Easton, Mass.) and Zack Viera (Fairhaven, Mass.) posted a time of 8:04.15 to finish 13th overall.

The Bears wrapped up the two-day meet tied for 33rd place in the team standings with two points.

Next Thursday, several members of the BSU outdoor track & field teams will compete at the MIT Last Chance Qualifier.
